At City Bakery we produce artisan breads formed by hand and baked in a hearth oven for your enjoyment. We believe in using as little yeast as possible and allowing our breads to rise slowly to create well developed loaves in the style of European bakers.

available every day. This is a traditional bread where wheat is truly the star. Sold as a boule,batard,sandwich loaf or our well-known baguette. Ingredients: unbleached bread flour,whole wheat bread flour,salt,yeast,water.

available every day. Our whole wheat bread is filled with the benefits of whole grains with just enough unbleached flour to keep it light and airy. available every day. One of our personal favorites, it means slipper in Italian because it resembles a dancer’s shoe worn in Northern Italy. This is a top seller at City Bakery and is available in sandwich, boule or roll shape. available Wednesday. Another one of CB favorites, this bread is filled with sweet buttery dates and crunchy wheat berries (Wheat berries are whole uncracked grains of wheat). available Monday. Loaded with 20% oats and lightly sweetened with molasses. Soft crust rolled in oats produces a soft home-style bread. Ingredients: unbleached bread flour, oats, molasses, salt, yeast, water.

available Tuesday. Story behind the name-a man’s wife left him with only a pot of cornmeal mush on the stove. The angry husband mixed flour and yeast to the mush to create bread exclaiming Anna dam’er. Anyway, this bread has a soft crust rolled in corn grits with a sweet taste of molasses in every bite. Ingredients: unbleached bread flour, whole wheat flour, corngrits, cornmeal, molasses, salt, yeast, water.

potato rosemary
available Saturday. Also originated in Italy to use leftover mashed potatoes. We use roasted red skin potatoes with some added chopped onion. The dough is brushed with olive oil before baking to create a golden brown crust and the flavor of fresh rosemary fills each slice. Ingredients: unbleached bread flour, olive oil, roasted redskin potatoes, onion, fresh rosemary, black pepper, salt, yeast, water.

available Friday. Challah is the traditional Sabbath bread. It is braided, enriched with eggs and sweetened with honey. Before baking, we brush the dough with an egg wash to produce the deep brown color and shine. Also makes great French toast. We offer this bread plain, topped with poppy or sesame seeds or mixed with raisins. Ingredients: unbleached bread flour, fresh eggs, canola oil, honey, salt, yeast, water.

available every day. Another Italian favorite enriched with olive oil to keep it chewy and moist. Before baking, this bread is topped with our house made herb oil to Provide great flavor with every bite. This bread is available in full or half sheet pans.
